The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Stonetown. We were able to walk to all major attractions. The room were large and comfortable. We stayed in the back area but it was no issue. It took less than a minute to walk to the main lobby for breakfast. We actually enjoyed the back area because we mostly had the pool and games area to ourselves. The breakfast buffet was really amazing.

Cozy bedroom. Possible to use all the facilities, including those in the main building. The staff packed me a very early breakfast so I could take my flight on time. I received a fresh juice when arrived - felt very welcomed.

Breakfast is varied enough for all tastes, delicious. Only their coffee, they don't know expresso.

I loved the authenticity and history of the facility. Very clean and gives you the energy Arabic emperor design. The breakfast was perfect. The location you could not beat. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. They allowed us to have a later checkout which was very helpful.

Everything, we stayed in the annex where one of the 3 pools is situated and is more private. Room are large with beautiful decor , meticulously clean , good water system. Laundry service reasonable and room service 24 hour. Beach side close to excursion points. Special thanks yo all staff especially manager Kassim , if you need a car look no further . Perfect location on the beach in Stone Town with all the amenities you need. The staff were very helpful. The decor is lovely and we enjoyed two pools. The breakfast selection was expansive. We had a big family room in a nearby building with a bathroom that was huge. On the last day, we stored our bags at the hotel while we did a morning tour of Prison Island. Great place to stay.

Good location for exploring Stonetown and being on the beach at the same time. Three swimming pools. Great for families/children.

At breakfast we especially liked spiced coffee .... and the guy who was making omelettes and the girl making pancakes. In general, all the staff was polite and funny, making jokes but not being intrusive at the same time. The hotel has a certain flair to it...perhaps its history has to do with it. Had lobster for lunch which was super good and normal price.

Rooms were very clean. They have different buildings so I guess that the more expensive rooms are in the main one. They have also three pools and a nice restaurant with sea view.
